SafeCRM Daily Backup

SafeCRM Daily Backup

Private, operator-controlled Windows backups with encrypted Google Drive storage.

Private Windows backup

SafeCRM Daily Backup is a private tool operated from a Windows computer controlled by its operator. It creates consistent local snapshots of the operator-selected application data and configuration, then uses restic and rclone to store encrypted backup data in Google Drive.

Google Drive connection

The tool requests the Google Drive drive.file permission and is configured to use its own app-created backup folder. It uploads and downloads encrypted repository objects, reads their file metadata, and checks storage usage to operate the backup. Authorization is completed with Google by the operator.

Verification and managed retention

Backups are checked for file hashes and database integrity. Isolated restore checks keep restored services and messaging integrations paused. The operator-controlled retention policy keeps seven daily and four weekly restore points, preserving at least two when available; verified tool-created backups and unneeded repository objects are removed under that policy.

Operator control

The operator controls the backup scope, Google authorization, local credential access and separate custody of the repository decryption password. Read the privacy policy and private usage notice before authorizing the connection.
