How SafeCRM Daily Backup accesses, uses, stores and shares Google user data.
Google data accessed and used
SafeCRM Daily Backup requests https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file. The connection is configured for an app-created, managed backup folder. The tool creates, lists, reads, updates and deletes its backup repository files in that folder. It processes the associated file identifiers, names, sizes, timestamps and storage-quota information needed for backup, restore verification and managed cleanup.
Google user data obtained through this connection is used for those backup functions. The public information pages do not request Google authorization or handle backup contents.
Storage, credentials and sharing
restic encrypts backup contents on the operator-controlled Windows computer before rclone transfers them to Google Drive. Google receives encrypted repository objects and the metadata and API requests needed to store and retrieve them. Repository decryption takes place on the operator-controlled computer for restore checks.
OAuth access and refresh credentials are stored in access-restricted local configuration for unattended authorized backups. Those connection credentials and the repository decryption password are excluded from the backup repository. The operator keeps the decryption password separately from the repository.
restic and rclone run locally. The backup tool does not send decrypted backup contents or Google user data to a separate application-operated server, advertising service or analytics service. The operator controls local access to decrypted restores and operational records.
Retention and removal
The operator-controlled policy retains seven daily and four weekly restore points, preserving at least two when available. Cleanup is limited to verified tool-created backup snapshots and unneeded encrypted repository objects. Restore checks verify hashes, database integrity and references while restored services and messaging integrations stay paused.
The operator can stop the scheduled backup, remove the local connection credentials and delete backup repositories or local restore copies. Removing Google authorization alone does not delete existing backups. Retained encrypted data requires the separately held repository password to restore.
Your Google authorization
You can review or remove this application’s access in your Google Account’s third-party connections. After access is removed, the tool cannot continue its authorized Drive connection. Reauthorization requires the operator’s action with Google. For questions or removal requests, contact the operator through the support contact shown on the Google authorization screen.
